Cat Florence @ Saturday Night Live
Making music from her bedroom, evolving from a young love of grungy guitar riffs, ska-punk vocals, and electronic music, Cat Florence produces indie pop with poetic storytelling lyrics.
Her song writing captures the joyful, mundane and complete darkness that’s tangled up in relationships, addiction, mental health and motherhood, and her production blends fuzz guitar and electronic synths, melodic piano twisted with backwards recording and her distinct layered vocals and harmonies.
In her live shows, alongside her stripped-back acoustic songs, she creates intricate soundscapes in real-time, looping guitar riffs and rhythms to craft a dynamic musical experience that feels both intimate and full of depth. With the ability to shape a song live, each performance becomes a unique experience, offering a fresh take on her songs.
